 Hi Guys presenting Latest Cyanogenmod 11 R21 update for redmi 1s  yesterday the developers of cyanogenmod updated cm11 to R21 below are the changelogs and instructions for updating cm11

CyanogenMod 11.0 Changelog

R21 [2015/03/03]:
  • Updates in GPS and network location
  • Generic headphones buttons are working again
  • Increased speaker gain
  • Adjustments in power profile
  • Fastcharge enabled (not sure it works)
  • Other changes and updates (audio, flashlight, last_kmsg, ...)


Instructions for updating Cm11 to latest update R21
Step-1: Download Android 4.4.4 CyanogenMod 11 Latest R21 ROM for Redmi 1S to computer
Step-3: Connect the Redmi 1S to computer via USB cable. Without extracting, copy the downloaded firmware zip to root folder of phone's sd card
Step-4: Power off the phone and wait for 5 to 10 seconds until the device shuts down completely.
Step-5: Press and hold Volume Down andPower buttons together, until theb Cwm /Twrp menu appears on screen.
Step-6: Use Volume Down to scroll to the Recovery mode option and Volume Up key to select 
Step7: select install zip from sd card and  then select the rom file 
Step8: select ok  after installation complete 
Step9: Reboot system

Hi Guy today i am gonna show you how to fix heating issue , ram issue ,battery problem so before I will discuss this tips to reduce heating on your android smartphone make sure you create backup to your files and root your Redmi 1S android smartphone. After rooting your device you would be able to get access to remove unwanted apps which comes pre installed.

STEP 1:

1. Root your Redmi 1S device to continue for STEP 2.

STEP 2:

Using unwanted apps installed in your android smartphone surely increasing RAM, takes space in Internal Memory as well as may lead to heating issues and slow running problems. So we have listed few applications which you can uninstall/freezed to free your RAM memory.
Tip:  Download and use link2sd app from play store to freeze given list of apps. After you install and open link2sd app, choose the app you want to freeze, click on Actions and choose Freeze. <link to

    STEP 3:

    You need to install Universal init.d app from play store and enable init.d support in this app. Note Universal init.d app is developed by Androguide.fr <play store for download>

    STEP 4:

    Now you need to install Custom CWM Recovery
    1. Now Download attached file “signed_cwm_update redmi.zip”  <download link>
    2. Rename it to update.zip and paste in root folder of internal storage ( use USB Cable).
    3. Go to Settings, then to about phone and click system update button
    4. Press menu button and then press “reboot to recovery
    5. Select language as English and then select flash update.zip option.
    6. After done, turn phone off, now press volume up+ power until you enter cwm recovery

    Underlock your Xiaomi Redmi 1S. What happens when you underlock your device? Underlocking helps to increase the life of processor and also helps mobile to prevent heating issues, increases battery life and much more advantages.
    • First Install No-frills CPU control from playstore 
    • Now give it Root permissions
    • Set the Max clock to 1.402 Ghz
    • Set the mini clock freq to 300 Mhz
    • Note that, Don’t select “apply on boot” now. If anything goes wrong, u can reboot the device and it will set it to default.

    STEP 6:

    Fixing low RAM issues in your redmi 1s.
    • Goto Play store and InstallMinFreeManager (this Require Root) 
    • Click Menu button >> Preferences >> choose Mild
    • Click Menu button >> Apply

    STEP 7:

    Hibernate apps helps to free RAM memory
    • Install Greenify from Playstore 
    • Go to Security → Permission → Auto start management and add auto start apps
    • Now select Greenify
    These are few tips and solutions we used to reduce our Redmi 1S mobile heating issues. We fixed RAM problems and also battery draining quickly problems. Few of our friends tried these method and they are happy now. I can’t guarantee 100% reduction in heating but believe that it may reduce them 95%.  The above tips are worth trying… :).     Some of the salient features ported into the Android 4.4.4 CM11 ROM for Redmi 1S are as follows:

    • SE Linux enabled kernel.

    Pre-Requisites
    • The CM11 ROM and the instructions given in this guide are meant for theRedmi 1S model only. Verify device model number by navigating to Settings > About Phone.
    • Back up data and settings using a recommended custom recovery tool, like ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP, as it creates a complete image of the existing phone setup. In Recovery, choose Backup and Restore and tap Backup.
    • Verify correct USB drivers for the phone are installed on the computer (download USB drivers here)
    • Ensure USB debugging mode is enabledon the phone, by navigating to Settings > Developer Options (NOTE: Tap the phone's Build Number seven times tounlock or reveal the hidden Developer Options under Settings.) Then select the checkbox to enable USB debugging mode under Settings > Developer Options.
    • Make sure the phone has at least 80% battery charge to prevent unexpected device shutdown (due to battery drain) while installing the ROM.
    • Ensure the device is unlocked (not locked to a specific carrier) and rootedwith latest ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery (v6.0.4.5) or install CyanogenMod 10.2 Nightly which includes CWM recovery v6.0.4.5.
    • If the device is stuck at booting or is experiencing boot loop issues, performWipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache a few more times before rebooting.
    • Allow newly installed ROM to stabilise for five minutes before you start working on it.

    Steps to Install Android 4.4.4 KitKat onXiaomi Redmi 1S with Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 ROM
    Step-1: Download Android 4.4.4 CyanogenMod 11 ROM for Redmi 1S to computer
    Step-2: Download Google Apps package
    Step-3: Connect the Redmi 1S to computer via USB cable. Without extracting, copy the downloaded firmware zip and Google Apps zip files to the root folder of the phone's SD card.
    Step-4: Power off the phone and wait for 5 to 10 seconds until the device shuts down completely.
    Step-5: Press and hold Volume Down andPower buttons together, until the bootloader menu appears on screen.
    Step-6: Use Volume Down to scroll to the Recovery mode option and Volume Up key to select it.
    Step-7: Wait until the Android symbol with exclamation mark appears on screen and then hit Power button to enter Android system recovery menu. NOTE: In recovery mode, useVolume Down to navigate between options andVolume Up key to select the desired option.
    Step-7: Perform Wipe data/Factory reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress) and choose Yes on next screen to confirm the action.
    Step-8: Return to CWM recovery main menu and select Mounts and StorageFormat System and click Yes on next screen to confirm. Then perform Wipe Cache Partition. From the main menu of CWM recovery, go toAdvanced and choose Wipe Dalvik Cache. Then hit Yes on next screen to confirm.
    Step-9: Select Install Zip from sdcard and then click Choose zip from sdcard. Browse to the location of the CyanogenMod 11 ROM file which you copied earlier to your phone's SD card. Choose Yes on the next screen to confirm the firmware installation.
    Step-10: Repeat the previous step to install Google Apps as well.
    Step-11: Once Google Apps is also installed, select "+++++Go Back+++++" and reboot the phone by tapping reboot system now from the recovery menu. Your Redmi 1S will restart and it may take about five minutes for the first boot. So, do not interrupt the process.
    Your Redmi 1S is now running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat via CyanogenMod 11 ROM. Go to Settings > About Phone to verify the firmware installed.
